Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has issued a directive for the repatriation of Abigail Frederick’s remains, the makeup artist who tragically lost her life alongside Jnr Pope and three others on April 10. Abigail’s body was discovered on Thursday, April 11, and reportedly interred near the riverbank.
Allegedly, local villagers insisted on her burial at that site, citing the absence of a ritual to appease the river goddess by her family before her body could be removed. In response, the governor has intervened, ensuring that Abigail’s body is returned to the state for a proper burial.
