Israel Prepared to Launch Strong and Direct Offensive Against Iran

Israel has reportedly made the decision to launch a decisive and forceful attack against Iran, as revealed in a report on Monday, April 15. This decision follows deliberations in two war cabinet meetings where Israeli leaders discussed how to respond to a barrage of 350 suicide drones and missiles.

According to Israel’s Channel 12 news, the country’s air force, equipped with US-made F-16, F-15, and F-35 fighter jets, is currently preparing for the strike against Iran. The timing of the offensive has not been specified, but it is intended to convey a message that Israel will not tolerate such a significant attack without retaliation, while also aiming to avoid sparking a broader conflict.

Despite calls for restraint from US President Joe Biden and leaders of other nations including the UK, France, Italy, and Canada, Israel appears determined to proceed with its planned response. Israeli military chief Lt. Gen Herzi Halevi confirmed the intention to respond to Iran’s actions, although specifics regarding the timing and nature of the response remain undisclosed.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant conveyed to US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin that Israel sees no alternative but to retaliate against Iran’s aggression.

Meanwhile, at a White House press briefing, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby characterized Iran’s missile attack against Israel as a failure and emphasized Israel’s stronger strategic position following the incident.

Kirby deferred questions regarding US involvement in potential Israeli military actions, affirming that decisions regarding response strategies remain within Israel’s purview.
