Four Individuals, Including a 42-Year-Old Woman, Charged with Burglary for Breaking into Footballer Alexander Isak’s Mansion to Steal Cash and Car

A group of four Croatians, including a woman, have been charged with burglary following a break-in at the mansion of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak. 

The incident, which occurred in Darras Hall, Newcastle on April 4, involved the theft of a significant amount of cash and the footballer’s high-end sports car while he was absent from home.

Four individuals, including Jela Jovanvic, 42, along with Valentino Nikolov, 31, Giacomo Nikolov, 27, and Charlie Jovanovic, 23, have been charged with burglary dwelling offences after a series of break-ins in the North East region. The incidents include a raid on Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak’s mansion, where cash and a luxury car were stolen. The stolen vehicle was later found abandoned in the village of Dissington, three miles away from the scene.

Additionally, the group is accused of breaking into another home in Sunderland, stealing designer clothes, jewelry, and cash worth over £100,000. Another burglary occurred in Jesmond on March 31, involving the theft of more clothes and jewelry. The North East Regional Organised Crime Unit launched an investigation, linking the three burglaries and charging the suspects accordingly.

The suspects, who recently arrived in the UK, were scheduled to appear at Bedlington Magistrates’ Court. Detective Inspector Shaun Fordy of the NEROCU praised the partnership efforts and police work, emphasizing the commitment to tackling serious and organized crime under Operation Sentinel. This collaborative approach aims to protect communities and hold accountable those responsible for such offenses.
