Jesus Speaks Out on Havertz Taking His Place in Arsenal: “It’s the Price You Pay”

Gabriel Jesus, the Arsenal striker, has expressed that losing one’s position is an inevitable consequence when playing for a prestigious club.

Jesus addressed inquiries regarding Kai Havertz potentially displacing him in Mikel Arteta’s squad. Havertz has notably excelled in the latter stages of the season, coinciding with Arsenal’s pursuit of success in both the Premier League and the Champions League.

The ex-Chelsea striker has showcased remarkable consistency by netting goals in four consecutive league matches against Burnley, Newcastle, Sheffield United, and Brentford.

Additionally, standout performances against Brighton and Luton have contributed to Havertz’s impressive tally of nine goal involvements in his last seven games.

Commenting on the potential threat posed by Havertz to his position, Jesus lauded the German’s exceptional work ethic, acknowledging that maintaining a place in a top-tier club demands such relentless dedication.

He implied that competition for spots is an inherent aspect of playing for a prominent team like Arsenal, where players must consistently perform at their best to retain their positions.

“You have to fight to play. If you are not playing, the best thing you have to do is try to help.

“I never complain.”
