Wunmi, Mohbad’s Wife, Reverses Course: ‘I Refuse DNA Testing’

Wunmi, the spouse of the deceased Nigerian vocalist, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has reversed her stance regarding permitting a DNA test for their son, Liam.

Amidst mounting pressure from various quarters, including her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, certain Nigerians have been vocally advocating for a DNA test to definitively establish the paternity of Liam, the son of the late rapper Mohbad, following his untimely demise. However, in a recent development, Wunmi, who had initially indicated her readiness to consent to a DNA test for her son, Liam, has had a change of heart.

In a significant shift, Wunmi has now conveyed her firm decision to retract her previous willingness to subject Liam to a DNA test. This abrupt reversal comes as a surprising twist in the ongoing saga surrounding the paternity dispute, adding further complexity to the already fraught situation following Mohbad’s tragic passing.

In an audio message circulating on various platforms, Wunmi asserted that only her deceased husband possesses the authority to demand a DNA test from her. She asserted that Mohbad was her first and only intimate partner, emphasizing that he was the one who took her virginity.

Wunmi said: “Mohbad disvirgined me; nobody has the right to tell me to do a DNA test. I have never slept with any man except him. I will never do any DNA; no one can tell me to do DNA except I wish to. Koni daa fun gbogbo yin ranting about DNA.
