Ruger Publicly Confronts Former Record Label, Jonzing World

Ruger has publicly addressed his departure from his former record label, Jonzing World. The singer, previously signed to the Nigerian label founded by D’Prince, cited the reason for his exit as the label becoming complacent with their earnings from his work, ultimately failing to continue pushing his career forward.

He wrote on X: “As much as I’m very appreciative of the fact that Jonzing World introduced me to the world, I just couldn’t continue with them because they got too comfortable with the money they were making from me and couldn’t push me further as I wanted to be pushed. Was supposed to renegotiate the contract but I couldn’t imagine 5 years more without action.”

He added: “Dey use my money Dey fund new artist, leaving me in the dark, not being transparent. I just laugh how e be now.”

Additionally, Ruger hinted at concerns for his safety, limiting his ability to speak openly about the situation. Following his departure from Jonzing World, the singer established his own label, which he named BlownBoy Entertainment.
